Lincoln vape shop employee attacked man with snow shovel, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – An employee of a Lincoln vape shop was arrested Monday after an assault with a snow shovel, police say.
Around 3 p.m., officers responded to the assault at Wally’s Tobacco and Vape near 13th and O streets.
Witnesses saw the employee, 21-year-old Waleed Assaidai, yelling at a 37-year-old man outside of the store, police said.
Assaidi hit the victim “multiple times” with the handle of a snow shovel, according to LPD.
The victim also reported being hit with the blade of the shovel. He had injuries to his head and right eye.
Assaidi was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony.
