Lincoln Weather Update: Thursday, July 30

Scattered showers and a few rumbles of thunder continue over southeastern Nebraska thru the morning. Rain chances should diminish around the Lincoln area by the afternoon but storm chances still remain for our southern counties along the Kansas border. A Flash Flood Watch is in effect until 10 tonight as areas around the NE/KS border could see another round of moderate to heavy rain on top of the already saturated soil.

Temperatures will remain on the cooler side today, topping out around 80 degrees this afternoon. It will however, still be on the muggy side. Temps will continue below average for the weekend and next week. Low 80s as we approach this weekend, we could see the upper 70s for the beginning of next week!
