Lincoln woman arrested after cutting boyfriend with sword

26-year-old Ivy Moore was arrested for second degree assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony. 

Police said Moore was arguing with her 27-year-old boyfriend when she grabbed a three-foot-long sword and swung it at him. 

Police said he put his hands up to defend himself and the blade hit his hand. He had a minor cut on his thumb and did not need medical treatment. 

This happened at an apartment near 25th and A street at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.

The victim told police they were arguing about a past relationship, Moore said the fight was over marijuana.
