Lincoln woman accused in stabbing is back in jail on DUI charge
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Lincoln woman is behind bars after deputies said she was driving under the influence Saturday with a child in the car.
Brittany Borrell, 38, was driving drunkenly and recklessly down Highway 77 just after 6 p.m., according to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to a call from her 13-year-old daughter.
According to the daughter, Borrell was driving down the highway at 95 mph.
When deputies arrived, the girl was outside the vehicle crying.
They found an open bottle of brandy in the vehicle, according to the sheriff’s office.
Borrell has been lodged in the Lancaster County Jail.
She was arrested on suspicion of reckless driving, felony child abuse, DUI, and DUI with a passenger under 16.
Last month, Borrell was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault in a stabbing.
On April 23, she paid $2,000 in bail to be released from jail.
Her next court appearance in that case is set for June 11.
