Lincoln woman dies after crash with industrial truck on highway west of York

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Lincoln woman died Friday afternoon after a crash west of York.
The York County Sheriff’s Office said the crash happened around 11 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 81 and West Fourth Street.
An industrial truck pulling a trailer was heading north when it crashed into a car that was crossing the highway.
The driver of the car, 33-year-old Sophie Truax, was flown to a Lincoln hospital, where she later died. The driver of the truck had minor injuries.
York County Sheriff Paul Vrbka said Truax drove through a stop sign before the crash.
An investigation is ongoing.
