Lincoln woman jumped out of vehicle during pursuit near Norfolk, patrol says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Two people were arrested Friday after a chase with troopers near Norfolk, the Nebraska State Patrol says.

Around 5 p.m., troopers were notified of a stolen Jeep Wrangler on Highway 81, just south of Norfolk.

Troopers found the vehicle at a gas station, but the driver – 24-year-old Delvin Jones of Grand Island – sped off onto Highway 81.

During the chase, Jones went through Humphrey before getting back onto Highway 81, according to the patrol.

The vehicle then slowed down, and 31-year-old Kiesha Lemburg of Lincoln jumped out, the patrol said.

Troopers stopped chasing after the vehicle and took Lemburg into custody.  She was arrested on suspicion of theft by receiving stolen property and criminal mischief.

Later on, deputies with the Platte County Sheriff’s Office found Jones and took him into custody.

He was arrested on suspicion of several charges, including flight to avoid arrest and theft by unlawful taking.
