Lincoln woman sentenced for escape from custody

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Lincoln woman was sentenced to time served Thursday for escaping from custody.

Kiana Stabler, 27, had been in custody since Aug. 24.

In July 2018, Stabler was convicted of conspiracy to commit bank robberies and sentenced to seven years in prison.

During her term of imprisonment, Stabler was placed at Dismas Charities Reentry Center in Kearney.

Last July, Stabler secured a social pass but was ordered to return that same evening.

She failed to return to the facility and was later arrested in August.

Stabler has also been sentenced to three years of supervised release.
