LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A woman was sentenced in federal court in Lincoln on Friday to over two years in prison for possession of meth.

There is no parole in the federal system.

Once released from prison, 40-year-old Trisha A. Havel of Lincoln, will serve three years on supervised release, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.

On March 30, 2021, Lincoln Police executed a search warrant at Havel’s residence and found six bags of meth weighing a total of about 2 ounces.

Havel admitted to selling meth to help a small group of friends and to support her addiction.
