Lincoln woman the target of Wednesday afternoon kidnapping attempt

LPD says a woman reported an attempted kidnapping attempt in west Lincoln on Wednesday.
It happened at around 4 pm.
LPD officers responded to a belated report of an attempted kidnapping near Northwest 22nd Street and O Street.
Upon arrival, officers contacted a twenty-four year old female victim, who advised that she was walking toward the bus stop near Northwest 22nd Street and West O Street when a vehicle pulled up and asked her if she wanted a ride.
When the victim declined, the male driver exited the vehicle and demanded that she get into the car.
The male then grabbed her and attempted to drag her to the vehicle, at which point the victim began screaming and struggling.
The victim said she was able to get away from the male, at which point the male departed.
Officers processed the scene for forensic evidence, searched for surveillance videos from nearby residences and businesses, conducted a neighbor canvass, and interviewed nearby residents.
Investigators continue to follow-up on this incident.
