In October 2023, court documents say a Ford Escape was reported stolen in Greenwood.
Seven months later, in May 2024, two Lincoln Police officers saw it at the U-Stop at 13th and South streets.
Officers talked with a man who claimed to own the SUV.
He said he bought it from Love and didn’t know that it was stolen, police said.

An arrest affidavit says multiple witnesses confirmed that Love had sold the Escape “under false pretenses that the vehicle sale was legal.”
Originally, Love also faced a charge of theft by deception, but it was dropped in exchange for her pleading no contest to theft by receiving.
