Lincolnites scramble to prepare for first significant snow of the year

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – To prepare for the incoming weekend snow, people all over Lincoln shopped anywhere salt and shovels were sold on Friday.

“It’s just all about being prepared, and people are starting to get prepared as we speak,” said John Dageforde, general manager of the Ace Hardware at 27th and F streets.

The store was packed with Lincolnites stocking up on all kinds of winter weather items.

“I’ve already reloaded shovels and ice melt,” Dageforde said get here early so you don’t have to get out in the weather.”

One customer who was looking for a snowblower said he had to go to four different Ace locations to find one in stock because they were flying off the shelves.
