Lincolnites taking advantage of great January weather

Because of the nice weather throughout the week, the Holmes Lake Golf course has seen a massive upswing in golfers.

“Quite a huge change we usually have zero round for January if we do maybe just one or two a day if we’re lucky so yesterday we had 96 rounds and the day before that we had another 90 so we’re looking forward to being this weather continue on and being able to get more golfers out here,” Jaxon Coouse Holmes Lake Golf Course’s Assistant Pro said.

Which for the golfers of Lincoln they say to be able to be playing in golf in January is amazing.

“It’s awesome you know this is Nebraska you don’t get this opportunity every year,” Bill Turner said.

But even while playing in January may be a little different for these golfers, they say the way they played is just the same as it would be in the summer.

“Same old, Same old. Hit is right, hit it left. Just try to survive,” Tim Andersen said.
