Lincoln’s Nitro Burger says goodbye

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Lincoln favorite said their goodbyes Saturday as Nitro Burger closed their doors for good.
The restaurant, off of Cornhusker Highway, announced earlier this month that Saturday would be their last day. They attributed the close to the ever-changing economic climate, personal stresses, and the pandemic.
The retro-themed burger joint said they have no plans to relocate or reopen but they will forever be thankful for the outpouring of support from their customers.
“We started out with nothing, and we worked really, really hard to get here so all that hard work and seeing the gratitude on peoples faces and knowing that it meant something to other people makes it a little bit more worth everything that we have been through to get here,” Cherry Kress, the owner said.
The business was open for 11 years.
Cherry says it’s sad to see the business go but harder to say goodbye to all of the customers.
