Lincoln’s Tabitha offers grief support groups ahead of holidays

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Tabitha Health Care Services is offering bereavement services during the holiday season.

Year-round, Tabitha offers several services, including weekly group meetings, one-on-one sessions and informational readings.

Tabitha added two additional services before the holidays, Jason Padilla, the bereavement coordinator at Tabitha, said.

“The holidays are stressful, even when we haven’t lost anybody,” he said. “And so adding that loss into the equation, it can elevate our emotions and things can run high.”

This month, Tabitha is hosting two support events regarding the upcoming holiday season:

  • Grieving Through the Holidays – Nov. 12 at 4 p.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church: 1200 S. 40th St.
  • Hope for the Holidays – Nov. 21 at 1 p.m. at Tabitha Chapel: 4720 Randolph St.

“So, this is a seminar for people in the holidays to decide what you should and should not do to help make things easier,” Padilla said.

More information can be found on Tabitha’s website.
