Lincoln’s Tip Top Tux closes without warning, leaving grooms hanging
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Lincoln tuxedo retailer closed suddenly this week, leaving some grooms and their wedding parties without their outfits.
The business, called Tip Top Tux, unexpectedly closed nationwide on Monday.
At one Lincoln location, a sign on the door said, “If you are a customer returning your tuxedo from the weekend, you will not be charged late fees, and may keep your tuxedo.”

Several tuxedos and wedding dresses could still be seen inside the store at 48th Street and Normal Boulevard.
The company hasn’t stated any reason for the sudden closing, but reportedly, employees received an email 2 a.m. Monday saying they were laid off, effective immediately.
Customers who had already paid for tuxedos are now left to find a backup option.
