Nebraska women’s basketball stomps Richmond to advance in NCAA Tournament

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Nebraska women’s basketball team kept its season alive in the NCAA Tournament on Wednesday, routing Richmond 75-56 at Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durham, North Carolina.

It was a back-and-forth game in the first half, but the Huskers used a 27-6 third quarter to pull away with the win.
As a team, the Huskers shot 57% from the floor and 50% from deep, while the Spiders shot 40% from the floor and 17% from beyond the arc.
Britt Prince led the Huskers in scoring with 22 points on 10-14 shooting while dishing out a team-high five assists.

Callin Hake tallied 14 points, while Amiah Hargrove, Jessica Petrie and Petra Bozan each had 8 points.
Nebraska will look to keep the run alive against No. 6-seeded Baylor on Friday.

Richmond ended the first half on a 6-0 run to cut Nebraska’s lead to 34-32 at halftime.
Nebraska is shooting 50% from the floor and 45% from deep, while Richmond is shooting 38% from the floor and 18% from beyond the arc.
