LLCHD: Outbreak at the Eagles Club

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A COVID-19 outbreak has been identified by the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department (LLCHD) in connection to the Lincoln Eagles Club.
According to LLCHD, the Eagles Club held an event on Friday, Sept. 11 where the virus seems to have spread. Anyone who had attended the event may have been potentially exposed to COVID-19.
In total, about 75 people attended the event, and LLCHD reports that few people were wearing masks. So far, at least ten people tested positive for the virus following the event, with at least one hospitalized.
The LLCHD Manager of the Environmental Public Health Division Scott Holmes said many other individuals who attended were exposed. Some do not live in Lincoln or even Lancaster County, and many of the attendees are at a higher risk of experiencing severe illness.
The LLCHD is asking everyone who was at the Eagles Club on Sept. 11 to contact them immediately at 402-441-8053. If any attendees are currently experiencing symptoms, LLCHD recommends that they should be tested immediately and inform those they have been in contact with.
