LLCHD reports two more COVID-19 deaths

LLCHD reported the deaths of a man in his 50s who was hospitalized and unvaccinated and a man in his 70s who was hospitalized and vaccinated.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department reported two more COVID-19 deaths on Wednesday.

LLCHD reported the deaths of a man in his 50s who was hospitalized and unvaccinated and a man in his 70s who was hospitalized and vaccinated.

LLCHD also reported 156 COVID-19 cases.

Local hospitals currently house 123 COVID-19 patients, 92 from Lancaster County, with a total of 9 on ventilators.

Upcoming vaccination clinics:

  • Thursday, February 10, 3:15 to 6 p.m., Elliott Elementary School, 225 S. 25th St.
  • Friday, February 11, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., LLCHD, 3131 “O” St.

On Tuesday, Health Director Pat Lopez announced the mask mandate which was set to end on Friday, would be extended for two weeks.

Lopez said they made the decision based on the current situations at local hospitals.
