UPDATE: LNK Pearl Harbor Ceremony to be virtual

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — According to the City of Lincoln, the 1 p.m. broadcast has been moved to 12:30 p.m.

The pre-recorded ceremony will take place at the Auld Pavillion in Antelope Park, but no public observance will be held.


Due to the pandemic, the annual Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day Ceremony will be virtual, instead of at Antelope Park.

According to the Veterans Memorial Garden Advisory Council, the ceremony will be pre-recorded and air on Monday, Dec. 7 via LNKTV, ALLO Channel 2, Spectrum Channel 1300, and Kinetic Channel 1005.

It will air throughout the day at 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m., and 6 p.m.

The program will have University of Nebraska President Ted Carter, Councilman Roy Christensen, and Pastor Tom Rempel as speakers. The Color Guard will be handling the Posting of the Colors. The featured musician will be Amanda Palmer.
