Local church gives back to community

A local group spent Saturday afternoon washing cars to spread love throughout Lincoln.
Mercy City Church provided free car washes and glasses of Lemonade to anyone who stopped by their 15th and South street location.
The group did it as a way to show their love for the community.
"People have just been shocked they’ve been trying to give us donations of money and we’re like no we just want to love on you and care about the community," said Tim Linsenmeyer with Mercy City Church.
The church also worked on several projects throughout the capitol city in addition to the car wash. They also cleaned parks. Next Friday, the church will be hosting a community picnic at Saratoga Elementary School.
