Local power crews racing against time to restore electricity after storms

Not having access to air conditioning could put lives in danger with temps climbing into the triple digits once again

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Local power crews are joining forces this morning to restore electricity throughout York County after this week’s storms.

There were still more than 400 outages overnight, ahead of dangerous heat returning to our area.

The Perennial Public Power District says crews had to head in last night to get some much needed rest.

It’s plan was to have them back in the community and working on repairs by 6 a.m.

Perennial says neighboring power districts are sending help as well, due to the widespread damage.

As you can see in the photo Perennial shared, utility lines took a beating in Tuesday’s storms.

Anyone who finds a downed line is asked to report it by calling: 402-362-3355.
