Longtime Lincoln fire investigator passes away
Don Gross was 57.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Longtime Lincoln fire investigator Don Gross passed away Tuesday morning at the age of 57.
“He passed away suddenly at his home and unexpectedly this morning,” said Battalion Chief Tim Linke, Lincoln Fire and Rescue.
Gross served as Lincoln Fire Investigator for about 25 years and as a bomb technician for 20 years. During his time, he investigated hundreds of fires to find the cause.
LFR held a moment of silence at their academy graduation ceremony Tuesday night.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
