Longtime Lincoln firefighter Jerry Hesser dies
Hesser died Thursday at the age of 69.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Jerry Hesser, a retired firefighter who served 28 years with Lincoln Fire and Rescue, has died.
Hesser died Thursday at the age of 69, according to a social media post from LFR.
Hesser retired from LFR in 2006. He then worked at the Tractor Supply Distribution Center in Waverly before re-retiring in 2018.
Hesser is survived by his wife, Carole; sons Kyle and Kevin; and grandchildren Emersen, Harper, Easton and Charlie, according to his obituary.
