Louisiana congressman-elect dies after COVID-19 diagnoses
Louisiana congressman-elect, Luke Letlow, has died

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN)- Louisiana congressman-elect, Luke Letlow, has died after being diagnosed with COVID-19.
On Twitter, Louisana Governor John Bel Edwards offered condolences to Letlow’s family.

The 41-year-old announced his COVID diagnosis on Facebook on December 18. He wrote that he was home following CDC guidelines, quarantine protocols, and doctor recommendations.
Days later, he posted that he was undergoing treatment in the hospital before his office released a statement on December 23 that he had been transferred to another medical facility.
At the time, the LSU Health Shreveport Chancellor said in a statement that Letlow was in stable condition in ICU and receiving the drug Remdesivir and steroids.
