Low clouds exit and will be replaced by sunshine to close the work week

Portions of southeast Nebraska were stuck under a stubborn cloud deck.  Those with the clouds throughout the day experienced temperatures in the 40°s.  Further west, the cloud deck broke, allowing temperatures to climb to the upper 50°s to low 60°s.

The clouds are departing southeast Nebraska Thursday evening.  Temperatures will drop to the upper 20°s to middle 30°s under clear skies Friday morning.

Mainly sunny skies are expected for Friday afternoon.  Temperatures will top out in the middle to upper 50°s.  You will likely notice the winds out of the north, sustained at 12 to 20 mph.  Gusts will reach near 40 mph at time.
