LPD: 18-year-old suspect in Northeast Lincoln shooting detained
The 59-year-old victim is in stable condition after being shot in the arm and torso.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The suspect in a Northeast Lincoln shooting has been detained, according to Lincoln Police.
Authorities were dispatched to a house on the 5400 block of Ervin Street right around 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening to respond to a reported shooting.
The 59-year-old victim was rushed to the hospital but is said to be in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.
The incident happened following a verbal argument between residents of the house. Police say that 18-year-old Alex Hernandez shot the victim in the arm and torso. Hernandez has been lodged on charges of second-degree assault and the use of a weapon to commit a felony.
