LPD: 3 arrested after 60-year-old man was beaten, robbed at Lincoln dog park

Lincoln Police say an investigation into the robbery and assault of a 60-year-old man has resulted in three arrests.
The investigation began on December 30, when officers responded to a check welfare call about a man hunched over in his vehicle at the Holmes Lake Dog Park.
Police said the man had been robbed at knife point by three men and had significant injuries to his brain and a broken eye socket.
Investigators used surveillance video from local retailers to track three suspects, Jacob Buchanan, 28, Levi Peterson, 26, and Austin Clover, 22, who had used the victim’s credit cards to make several purchases.
Police said loss prevention employees at a Lincoln Walmart identified Buchanan as one of the suspects, and he was later arrested for shoplifting.
Buchanan was also arrested for first-degree assault, robbery and possession of a controlled substance.
Peterson was arrested for first-degree assault and robbery.
Clover was arrested for first-degree assault, robbery, unauthorized use of a transaction device, theft, and fraud.
