LPD and LFR on scene of car vs. tree accident

Lincoln Fire and Rescue and Lincoln Police are on scene of a car versus tree accident.

The accident happened just after 6:45 a.m. near North 33rd and S Streets. 

A minivan carrying two passengers crossed over the center line, went off the road, crashing into a tree.

Two people were inside the vehicle at the time of the accident and both were transported to the hospital. Their conditions are unknown at this time. 

LPD has 33rd from R to T streets blocked as they investigate what caused the accident. They are asking people to avoid the area.
