LPD: Arrest made in Sunday night shooting

LINCOLN, Neb. — An arrest has been made after a Sunday night shooting.
18-year-old Tony Bush was arrested around 10:00 p.m. Sunday night on an attempted murder charge, after turning himself in. The victim has been identified at 31-year-old Rafael Moreno.
This all began Sunday around 6:00 p.m. when Lincoln Police and Lincoln fire and rescue were called to the area of 27th and Y Streets on report that someone in a vehicle had been shot. Officers found Moreno unresponsive, covered in blood, seated in his vehicle just west of the intersection. He was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries, and remains in critical condition.
Witness recountings and video evidence showed a driver in a gray vehicle pulled up alongside Moreno. The driver proceeded to shoot Moreno, then fled the scene. The handgun was apparently disposed and has yet to be located.
Bush was arrested for use of weapon to commit a felony and attempted second degree murder.
Lincoln Police say they believe the act was not random, that Bush and Moreno knew each other.
Anyone with information pertaining to the incident should call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000.
This is a developing story, more details will follow.
