LPD: Crete man arrested after trying to meet Lincoln girl for sex

Authorities arrested a Crete man for enticement after he allegedly tried to meet a 14-year-old Lincoln girl for sex. 

 

Nicholas Coates, 35, was booked in Lancaster County Jail for enticement by an electronic device and drug possession. 

 

Lincoln police said the girl’s mother found messages on the Whisper app from adult men who had sent her daughter nude photos and asked to meet for sex. Investigators took over the conversation and arranged a meeting with Coates at 70th and A Street at 1 a.m. Thursday.

 

When Coates showed up, officers arrested him. He had a sex toy, condoms, a pipe, and drugs with him, police said. 

 

Police said investigators will continue using the app in an effort to make more arrests.
