LPD: Driver cited following pedestrian crash in southwest Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lincoln woman was cited after she hit a bicyclist in southwest Lincoln on Friday.
Just before 7 p.m., officers with the Lincoln Police Department were sent to the roundabout at South Coddington Avenue and West A Street.
According to police, a tan 2007 Lexus SUV — driven by an 81-year-old Lincoln woman — had just left the roundabout when the vehicle hit a 62-year-old Lincoln man on his bicycle crossing Coddington near the pedestrian crosswalk.
The cyclist was taken to the hospital with critical, but not-life-threatening, injuries, including a brain bleed.
LPD said the driver was cited and released for negligent driving and operating a motor vehicle without a license.
