LPD: East Lincoln restaurant burglaries

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN)- Tuesday morning the Lincoln Police Department reported three burglaries in east Lincoln.

According to police, at 3:30 a.m., the Sonic Drive-In on Holdrege street was broken into. Police say the lobby doors were shattered and it appeared the suspects tried to get into the safe, were unsuccessful, but caused $2,000 in damages.

The Nutrition Tavern on O street was reported burglarized around 5:30 a.m. to LPD. The front door was shattered, the cash box with money in it was missing, and there was $800 worth of damages, also according to police officials this was caught on tape.

Around 7 a.m., police reported that the Poncho Villa Mexican Grille on Cornhusker highway also had their front door shattered. LPD says that alcohol and cash were taken, there were $1,000 in damages, and the suspects were caught on video.

It is unclear at this time if these burglaries are all related, but two of them have video of the suspects and police are looking into them to see if the suspects match. Anyone with information has been asked to contact Lincoln police.
