LPD identifies motorcyclist killed in west Lincoln crash
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Police have identified the man who died in a motorcycle crash on Highway 77.
The Lincoln Police Department said Friday that the victim was 48-year-old Robert Finley of Lincoln.
The crash happened about 6:15 p.m. Thursday at the highway’s intersection with West Pioneers Boulevard.
A southbound car was trying to turn left onto West Pioneers when it collided with Finley’s motorcycle.
Finley, who was wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the car suffered minor injuries, according to police.
Both drivers had green lights, police said. The driver of the car told officers that the sun was in his eyes.
