LPD investigating armed robbery at jewelry store

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Authorities are investigating an armed robbery at a Lincoln jewelry store.

Lincoln police officers responded to the robbery Thursday afternoon at Diamond Master Jewelers near 48th and Madison Ave.

The owner reported two men with a gun came in and stole a large amount of jewelry.

Without an inventory being done, police can’t give a dollar amount to what was taken but they say it was a “large amount.”

Rings, necklaces and wedding bands were among the items taken.

A Nebraska State Patrol helicopter was requested to help locate the suspects but the search was unsuccessful.
