LPD investigating early morning robbery

Lincoln Police say a 35-year-old man flagged down an officer near 48th and Huntington around 6 a.m. this morning. 

The man said he had been robbed at gunpoint and pistol whipped at a residence near 45th and Huntington. 

LPD says the man had been communicating with a woman online and agreed to meet her at a nearby residence. 

When the victim arrived he was robbed by two men and his wallet and cell phone were stolen.

Officials say one of the suspects displayed a gun and a round was discharged during a struggle.
