LPD: Lincoln man arrested after crashing car into utility pole, running from officers

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lincoln man was arrested Friday after police say he crashed his car into a utility pole in northeast Lincoln.
Just before 6 p.m., Lincoln Police — along with Lincoln Fire & Rescue — were sent to the area of 56th and Francis streets for an injury crash.
According to LPD, a silver 2007 Dodge Caliber was driving south on 56th Street when the driver hit the curb, drove into a yard and hit a utility pole.
Police said 32-year-old Sabastian Flores walked away from the crash, but was found nearby.
According to police, Flores ran from officers and was arrested several blocks away.
Officers also found a stolen firearm and drugs at the scene, police said.
Flores was lodged in the Lancaster County Jail on suspicion of resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a stolen firearm and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
Police said he was also cited for careless driving, leaving an accident, obstructing a peace officer, driving under the influence of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
