LPD: Lincoln man critically injured in ATV crash dies at hospital

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lincoln man who was critically injured in an ATV crash on July 3 died Wednesday.

According to the Lincoln Police Department, 38-year-old Joshua Vanderharr died at the hospital from his injuries in a crash on the Northwest 27th Street bridge over Interstate 80.

Around 9:45 p.m., police said a northbound utility vehicle hit a parked vehicle on the west side of the overpass, then crossed lanes, hitting a guardrail on the east side.

The driver of the ATV, Vanderharr, was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

His passenger was also hospitalized, police said.

A Channel 8 reporter at the scene said several people had parked on the bridge to watch fireworks.

The crash remains under investigation.
