LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man threatened two people with a gun during a road rage incident in north Lincoln on Sunday, police say.

Around 12:45 a.m., officers were sent to the area of Interstate 80 and North 56th Street on a report of a man pointing a firearm at two people.

The victims told police that the man, 23-year-old Adam Nyhoff, was speeding on I-80 and “got mad” because he couldn’t pass them.

Nyhoff then started to “swerve and drive recklessly,” according to LPD.

The victims exited I-80 at North 56th Street, and Nyhoff followed them.

He got out of his vehicle at a red light and pointed a gun at the victims, police said.

An officer on his way to the scene spotted the suspected vehicle in the area and pulled it over.

Nyhoff was inside, and the officer took him into custody.  A handgun was discovered inside a fanny pack, according to police.

Nyhoff was arrested on suspicion of using a firearm to commit a felony and terroristic threats.
