LPD: Man assaulted worker at Lincoln store while trying to steal overalls
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A shoplifter assaulted a worker at a northeast Lincoln store Thursday, police say.
About 6 p.m., a man was trying to steal a pair of overalls at Bomgaars at 56th Street and Cornhusker Highway, according to the Lincoln Police Department.
Employees tried to stop him, but police said he assaulted one of them and got away.
LPD Lt. Dustin Romshek said the same man is suspected of stealing from a store in Waverly.
He said investigators are actively looking for the man.
