LPD: Man caught nude on video arrested

A Lincoln man has been arrested after another report of indecent exposure.

Lincoln Police say that a man is in jail after multiple reports of indecent exposure.

On April 6th, a man called police after seeing another man, identified as 37-year-old Daniel Sears, walking around naked near 84th and Old Cheney. This was the third time the victim had reported seeing the naked man in the area within about a month.

Sears was then cited for indecent exposure after multiple victims were able to positively identify him from video surveillance.

Thursday, police say after media reports of the original incident, another woman came forward saying she had a similar experience with Sears.

She tells police that in May of 2019, she was at an apartment complex near 56th and Van Dorn and saw a male near the apartment garages. As she was entering the building, the man, who she identified as Sears, said something to her and she turned around to find him naked and touching himself.

Police contacted Sears at his home Wednesday and cited and lodged him at the Lancaster County Jail for indecent exposure. Before this incident, he was only cited.
