LPD: Man robbed at knifepoint to “teach him a lesson”

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Around 8 p.m. Saturday, a 23-year-old reported his luggage being stolen at knifepoint.
The incident happened at the Oak Park Motel, 926 Oak St when the victim gave 42-year-old Christopher Bouwens money to buy him cigarettes.
Bouwens did hand over the purchased items, only the knock on the victim’s door a short time later demanding some of the cigarettes.
The victim reports Bouwen was brandishing a pocketknife toward him during this exchange.
Bouwen ultimately stole several pieces of the victim’s luggage.
Lincoln Police contacted Bouwens in his own motel room, where he did admit to taking the luggage.
He said it was all to “teach him [the victim] a lesson.”
Bouwens was arrested for robbery and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
