LPD: Man suffers non-life-threatening injuries after being stabbed at Lincoln bar

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was stabbed twice at a Lincoln bar after a dispute over a card game, according to Lincoln Police.
Officers responded to CJ’s Neighborhood Bar & Grill on West P Street just before midnight on Saturday. When officers arrived they found a 49-year-old man who had been stabbed twice in the head and neck, according to authorities.
The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
LPD found Steven Stowers, 47, at the bar and located a stolen firearm on his person, police took him into custody without incident.
Stowers used a bar knife with a 3-inch blade to stab the victim.
Stowers was arrested on several charges including 2nd-degree assault, use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony, and possession of a deadly weapon while committing a felony.
Stowers had a permit for a Concealed Pistol License: however, carrying while intoxicated is not allowed.
