Lincoln Police say they have taken a 20-year-old Lincoln man into custody after he pointed an AR-15 and threatened to shoot and kill another man.

Dominic Kinser was seen by a passing driver vandalizing a car by hitting it with a stick, police say. The passerby tells officers he stopped his car to confront Kinser about damaging the car before he went into a garage to grab an assault-style rifle.

The victim tells police he saw Kinser cock the weapon as he threatened to shoot him and kill him.

The incident happened Tuesday afternoon near north 66th and Holdrege streets.

Officers later contacted Kinser at the residence and took him into custody on multiple charges including terroristic threats.

The car, garage and rifle all belonged to Kinser, police say.
