LPD: Officers respond to about 70 fireworks complaints overnight in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lincoln Police Department responded to several fireworks complaints overnight on the Fourth of July.
LPD tells Channel 8 that dispatch received around 70 calls regarding firework complaints.
About 30 of those calls came after midnight, according to police.
A majority of the complaints LPD received were fireworks being lit off after midnight and illegal fireworks.
Police think that due to the weather, there were fewer fireworks complaints than in previous years.
