LPD: One arrested after large fight ends in assault with a hammer
Police say a large family altercation led to two assaults, involving a hammer and a baseball bat.

Lincoln Police say they arrested a woman and referred a teen after a large altercation led to several assaults.
Tuesday evening near south 17th and ‘J’ streets, police responded after receiving reports of a woman hitting a car with a hammer.
When officers arrived, they observed an altercation involving multiple people and which stemmed from a previous incident hours before.
24-year-old Kahdijah Green reportedly arrived at the location to get her belongings from the car she owns with her 21-year-old boyfriend. She tells police she brought a hammer with her in order to defend herself if needed.
Police say Green then started hitting the car with the hammer, breaking out the back window and taillights.
That’s when police say the large altercation started and resulted in Green hitting a 43-year-old woman in the head with the hammer. Green was then hit by a 14-year-old boy in the head with a baseball bat.
Green was arrested for 2nd-degree assault and the 14-year-old was referred for 2nd-degree assault and later released to a parent.
