LPD recovers stolen Christmas presents

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – UPDATE: Lincoln Police have returned the recovered Christmas presents to their intended owner.

Officers were able to determine the presents had been stolen from a white Honda Accord in the 1000 block of N. 63rd Street on Dec. 26.

Officers believe the owner of the vehicle had been temporarily holding the presents until their grandmother could retrieve them to give to her great-grandchildren when they were stolen from the car.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Police have recovered several Christmas presents stolen from a vehicle on Dec. 20 and are now looking to return them to the intended recipients.

On Dec. 20 around 11:30 a.m., a 27-year-old found that someone had stolen her gray Honda Pilot from the 1600 block of S 20th Street.

LPD says the thief broke into the vehicle via the windows sometime during the overnight hours of Dec. 20.

Officers recovered the stolen vehicle on Jan. 17 in the 1600 block of Washington Street. Officers searched the vehicle and found several Christmas presents addressed from “Grandma Nancy” to several different children.

Lincoln Police say they are now searching for the intended recipients of the stolen presents. Anyone with information about the stolen presents is encouraged to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000.
