LPD: Registered sex offender cited for child enticement

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Tuesday, April 27, investigators with the Lincoln Police Department (LPD) learned that a Snapchat user, 39-year-old Travis Warnsing, had been messaging a child.
Warnsing is a 25-year registered sex offender for 1st-degree sexual assault on a child.
Investigators posed as a 15-year-old messaging Warnsing. During the conversation, Warnsing set up a meeting to pick up the “15-year-old” for a sexual encounter.
Around 3:40 am Thursday, when Warnsing had carried to meet the “15-year-old,” uniformed officers in a police vehicle attempted to pull him over.
Warnsing sped away, losing the officers. Ten minutes later, investigators arrested him at his residence.
Warnsing was cited for child enticement.
