LPD: Rifle stolen from inside Lincoln man’s vehicle

LINCOLN, Neb, (KLKN) — On Tuesday, around 11:30 p.m., officers from the Lincoln Police Department (LPD) responded to a report of a larceny from auto in the 3300 block of Y St.

Upon arrival, officers contacted 22-year-old male victim who said his black Springfield .223 rifle, including two magazines and 150 .223 rounds, had been stolen from his unlocked vehicle. The vehicle had been left unlocked between 2:30 p.m. and 11:15 p.m. Officers canvased the area and are processing the scene for evidence.
