Authorities are investigating after a teenager reported being robbed of his car keys at gunpoint.
Lincoln police responded around 12:30 a.m. Monday to the 500 block of Capitol Beach Blvd. after the 17-year-old reported his car was stolen by a group of men.
The teen told officers he was in the area to meet a female friend when the three men approached him. One of the men pulled a handgun and demanded the teen’s items, police said.
At some point, the victim was struck in the head before handing over his car keys and running away, police said.
The stolen 2002 Audi four door is valued at $6,500.
