LPD: Two reports of gunshots believed to be connected

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Over the weekend, Lincoln Police investigated two instances of weapons being discharged which may be connected.
Friday, July 31st
Just before midnight, Lincoln Police were called to the 800 block of N. 30th on a report of possible gunshots. Upon arrival, neighbors reported seeing a gathering of 30 to 50 people fighting. The group then scattered after gunshots were heard.
Shell casings were found in the street, but no damage or injuries were reported.
Saturday, Aug. 1st
Around 12:30 a.m., Lincoln Police were then called to the 1000 block of N. 30th were several gunshots were reported. Neighbors saw multiple vehicles drive-off quick following the gunshots.
Again police found shell casings, but no damage or injuries were reported.
Video form the area has been requested.
Officials are investigating whether this incident is connected to the Friday report.
